I have hired Ezra hays with Hays Contracting to do several jobs for me over the past 10 years. He and his crew have done everything from install new windows and trim, to build a 36x40 post frame building for me. I know I can always expect top quality and attention to detail when I hire Ezra. Our first experience with Hays Construction, LLC was in the summer of 2020 when they erected a 38 X 48 (16 foot high walls) post frame shop for us. The building was anchored to a concrete slab that was poured with pemex tubing for radiant heating. The shop was completed start to finish over a two week period. All work was performed timely and built perfectly including the installation of an overhang or carport along one side that runs the full length of the building plus two windows, two doors, and two garage doors (one two car style door and one 12 foot high door to accommodate a motor home). The lot was cleaned up on their departure, usable leftover lumber and sheeting was placed and stacked where we requested. The 12 foot garage door manufacturer delivered three damaged panels that required a delay in completion. Hays Construction took delivery of the doors 75 miles from our house, delivered the doors and completed the installation at no additional cost to us.

We were so happy with their shop build that we had them return and build another overhang the full length of the building on the opposite side of the shop. Again we experienced prompt arrival and expert execution, completion in three days and full clean up on completion.

We were very happy with Hays Construction and asked them to return and to insulate the building along with the installation of a wood burning stove. They spray foamed the entire inside of the shop including all walls and ceiling. They added an extra inch of foam where we have two rooms on the east end of the shop. They then insulated and paneled the walls bringing our total R value up to over R-30 on all walls and over R-35 on the walls of the two east rooms. They put in ceiling support and insulated the upper (loft area) of the shop to R-50. They picked up a 300 pound stove we had ordered (75 miles from our house) and delivered it as a part of the job. The stove was professionally installed and works flawlessly. From the insulation alone the shop maintains a constant 50 to 60 degrees year round and with a single load of firewood warms up to 70 to 75 degrees.

We don’t think anything says “endorsement” like requesting additional work. We have Hays Construction, LLC scheduled to build a weathertight breezeway and a pergola in the near future. Hays Construction, LLC have always been timely, professional and organized. Every time we have used their services we received top quality, high value work delivered professionally and followed up on when necessary. We could not be happier with their work. The demonstrated ethics, strong reputation and engineered best practices of Hays Construction, LLC makes them a fine and worthy addition to the NFBA.
